West Virginia Judge Retires Following Impeachment Vote

According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, a West Virginia Supreme Court justice retired, one day after state lawmakers voted to begin impeachment proceedings against the full court, with four judges accused of lavish spending that included over 1 million dollars in office renovations. Democratic Justice Robin Davis said that she would retire after being accused of corruption and neglect of duty, blocking Republican Governor Jim Justice from appointing a new judge in a special election.
