Turkish Lira Continues To Fall, Dropping 15%

According to a report by Reuters, Turkey’s lira continued on its downward spiral, as markets sensed more weakness ahead and the central bank plans to increase interest rates in an attempt to turn the tide.
On Friday, the lira dropped 15 percent, leaving it down over 40 percent since the start of the year.
